Danielle McCluskey-Schink, Chief Executive Officer
Danielle is our managing executive, and an attorney since 1987, with extensive experience in insurance related fields. She previously was in-house counsel for many insurance companies, including AAA of Michigan, Wausau Insurance Companies, and Nationwide Insurance Companies, and is a licensed property and casualty agent since 2009. Her legal practice has been centered in insurance issues, including catastrophic losses and coverage issues. She has provided risk management services to physicians’ practices, as well as representing physicians in insurance disputes. She is a member of several legal organizations, and has previously chaired of the Genesee County Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Committee, and served on the Genesee County Bar Association Circuit Court Committee.
She is a current Board Member of Danny and Ron’s Rescue, a former Board Member for the Hunter-Jumper Association of Michigan, the Past President and Board Member of the Board of Trustees for the Exceptional Equestrian Foundation, which provided financial support to disabled persons for therapeutic horseback riding. She graduated with honors from the University of Michigan at age 19, and received her Juris Doctorate from Cooley Law School at the age of 23. She has presented to various professional organizations on the topics of political science, insurance, litigation, and case management issues. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, walks with her dogs, traveling with her husband, gardening and reading.
Dean Schink, President
Dean is the President and Founder of Specialized Insurance Services Agency, Inc. Dean received his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. He joined the insurance industry in 1987, and has dedicated his career in the area of professional liability and business insurance for physicians, dentists and attorneys since 1989. As part of his commitment to continuing education in his profession, he has obtained several designations in the field of insurance. After the successful completion of five courses and comprehensive exams, covering all major areas of the insurance industry, Dean was accredited as a Certified Insurance Counselor in 1992 by the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, the nation’s foremost provider of professional insurance and education.
In 1996, he obtained his Licensed Insurance Counselor designation in Multiple Lines Property & Casualty by the State of Michigan which allows Dean to “provide advice, counsel, or opinion with respect to benefits promised, coverage afforded, terms, value, effect, advantages, or disadvantages of a policy of insurance or annuity” for property and casualty insurance. In 2003, he obtained his Michigan Surplus Lines Producer license, which gives his clients access to a greater variety of insurance coverage and pricing than what is available from the standard market. Dean has consulted on medical professional liability insurance for several local healthcare systems, physician organizations, and insurance companies. He enjoys volunteering with the Michigan Special Olympics and the Genesee County Bar Association. In his leisure time, Dean rides bicycles recreationally and competitively, enjoys downhill and cross country skiing, music, travel, photography, reading, learning foreign languages and is a self-admitted “car geek”.
